USHJA Young Professionals Ranking System

The USHJA Young Professional Ranking System nationally and regionally ranks young professionals (USEF competition ages between 21 and 35) based on their competition merits in the hunter and jumper rings. This program includes five sub-systems: three for jumper riders and two for hunter riders. Riders receive points throughout the competition year based on their show results. Through this system, the USHJA hopes to promote and recognize the accomplishments of young professionals.

Young professionals are ranked according to their money won in jumper classes set at 1.30m or higher, including young jumper sections. Grand Prix and stake money won is excluded.

Young professionals are ranked according to their money won in welcome stakes, speed derbies or any prix with less than $25,000 in prize money.

Young professionals are ranked according to money won in Grand Prix classes with $25,000 or more in prize money.

Young professionals are ranked according to the points received in recognized hunter sections and classics, as well as pre-green hunter sections, using the increment system. USHJA International Hunter Derby points are included.
