Back-to-Back Derby Championship Titles for Boyd and Brunello

They return from a maternity break to defend their title in the $180,040 USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship.

When Liza Boyd returned to the saddle on June 12 after having her daughter Adeline on May 30, she had a goal.


After a nine-month break from riding and showing, she wanted to return to the $180,040 USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship, August 14-16 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington with Brunello.

Remarkable Lives Up to His Name in the $175,410 USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Championship

Rider Scott Stewart takes home more than $62,000 in prize money on his mounts.

When Scott Stewart started showing Remarkable this summer, he wondered what the judges would think of this unusually marked horse. He need not wonder any longer. The 7-year-old warmblood (Lordanos-Argona B) jumped to the top scores in the $175,410 Pre-Green Incentive Championship.

 Youth Award Application Deadline is September 1
Applications for two awards that recognize youth members for their equestrian and horsemanship achievements are now open! The USHJA Youth Leadership Award and the USHJA Nominee for the USEF Youth Sportsman's Award
identify potential future leaders in the equine industry who demonstrate an ongoing commitment and dedication to USHJA by promoting the equestrian sport, exhibiting characteristics that exemplify positive sportsmanship principles and who serve as role models for their peers.

The application deadline for both the USHJA Youth Leadership Award and the USHJA Nominee for USEF Youth Sportsman's Award is September 1.

The U.S. Hunter Breeding Championships hosts a truly unique collection of competitors, breeders, and owners active in Hunter Breeding. On August 27, Showpark All Seasons in Del Mar, California, will host the West Coast phase of this Championship. Just three days later, on August 30, the Championship's Eastern Coast phase will take place at the historic Warrenton Horse Show in Virginia, and an Overall Grand Champion will be named.

 2015 Class Specifications Available for Pre-Green Incentive and National Hunter Derby

New Prize Money Pay-Out!

The 2015 Class Specifications are now available for both the Pre-Green Incentive Program and the National Hunter Derby, and are effective for competitions starting between December 1, 2014, and November 30, 2015. 


Both programs will have a new prize money system in place for the 2015 show season that standardizes the payout with the International Hunter Derby. Competitors who make the Handy Round in a National Hunter Derby will now receive prize money as well as Zone Bonus Points through 12th place.
