E-Update
Katherine
Newman navigated 3 rounds to beat out a record breaking field of 45
in the 2008 Essex Classics/USHJA Hunterdon Cup Equitation Class on
Tuesday, August 5th. Katherine finished the first round aboard
Double Dimamond, an 8 year old Warmblood owned by SBS Farms, with
an impressive score of 87 securing her place in the top 10 for the
second round. Judged by Geoff Teall and Ralph Caristo, the second
round produced 6 riders any of which the judges said, "could have
taken it". Historically the judges have called back the top 4 riders
for the 3rd round, but this years class was too close to call
after the second round so the judges decided to call back the
top 6.
