2025 Board of Directors Elections

Four At-Large Directors – Hunter Athlete; Jumper Athlete; Zone; Affiliate

Welcome! Thank you for your membership, and we look forward to your participation in the 2025 election. As a Senior Active/Competing or Senior Education/Non-Competing member in good standing, you are eligible to participate in the nomination process for Director At-Large positions on the Board. Elections to the USHJA Board of Directors are voted on by Board members based on input from USHJA membership through the nomination process.

In this election, the Nominating Committee will be seeking nominations from the membership for two Athlete seats: one for an individual meeting the criteria for the Hunter Athlete seat, and one for an individual meeting the criteria for the Jumper Athlete seat. Please note that there is a very specific set of requirements to qualify as an Athlete, which can be viewed here. Only individuals meeting the Athlete criteria will be considered for Athlete seats. Nominations for the designated Zone seat and the designated Affiliate seat will come from the Zone and Affiliate Councils respectively.

Director At-Large Election Timeline

JUNE 1

Membership nomination period opens
JUNE 30

Membership nomination period closes at 5pm ET for Director At-Large Seats; nominees receive questionnaire that must be completed and submitted to the USHJA Executive Office by July 31.
JULY 31

Completed Director At-Large nominee questionnaires due to the USHJA Executive Office by 5pm ET.
SEPT/OCT

Nominating Committee conducts candidate interviews
NOVEMBER

Final slate of Director At-Large candidates added to Annual Meeting Board agenda and posted on USHJA website; candidates not selected will be notified prior to announcement of final slate.
DECEMBER

Director At-Large election is held during the 2025 USHJA Annual Meeting; newly elected Board members take their seats at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting.
