USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Stable Challenge

Welcome to the USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Stable Challenge. Put your barn to the ultimate test for a chance to win great prizes!


What: The Stable Challenge is a FREE 30-day online quiz competition for teams of three or more to compete for prizes and recognition.

When: June 15 - July 15

Why: The Challenge aims to expand students’ horsemanship knowledge, form team bonds, and build comradery among junior and amateur riders alike. The highest-scoring team in each zone will win a unique trainer-inspired award package!

How: Participating is easy! Just follow these steps:

  • Put together your team consisting of at least three junior and/or amateur students and your trainer, instructor, or coach. Your team’s trainer must be a current USHJA member at any level above Outreach.
  • Study the HQC Study Guide to brush up on your horsemanship knowledge.
  • Each team member must access the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Practice Quiz and fill out their contact information.
    • Everyone must list the trainer’s name and barn name.
    • Be sure everyone on your team lists the same trainer and barn name so your points count for your team!
  • Complete the 10-question practice quiz and you’re done! Come back and take the quiz as often as you’d like to improve your score.

Earn Bonus Points for Your Team!

Try for bonus points by participating in the official Horsemanship Quiz Challenge. Earn 10 bonus points for your team by completing the Level One quiz with at least 80%, and 10 more points for earning at least 90% on the Level Two quiz. How to Win

At the end of the 30-day challenge, the three top scores under each trainer are averaged to provide an overall score. HQC quiz bonus points earned by a participant are added to that individual’s score and included in the average total. In the event of a tie, a fourth score will be added to the average. The highest scoring team in each zone wins their zone’s Stable Challenge!
