IHSA Team Challenge
Welcome to the 2025 IHSA Team Challenge. Put your team to the ultimate test for a chance to win!
When: April 1 – May 1, 2025
What: At least three members per team must take the online Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Practice Quiz between April 1 and May 1 for the team to be eligible for awards. At the end of the 30-day challenge, the three top scores for each team will be averaged to provide an overall score, and the highest-scoring IHSA team will win a great prize! Ribbons through tenth place will also be awarded at the 2025 IHSA Nationals.
In addition, participants can give their team an edge by acquiring bonus points when they take the official Horsemanship Quiz Challenge quizzes. Participants who take the Level One and Level Two HQC quizzes will receive 10 bonus points for each level they complete with a passing score. Those bonus points are then added to their Practice Quiz score.
In the event of a tie, the fourth-highest team member’s score will be added to the team average. If teams are still tied, the fifth-highest score will be added; this will continue until the tie is broken.
How To Participate: Participating is easy! Just follow these steps:
- Go to the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Practice Quiz.
- Complete the registration form, using your coach’s name in the Trainer Name field and your college’s name in the Barn Name field.
- Complete the practice quiz.
- Come back and take the quiz as often as you’d like to improve your score; your highest score will be the score used for your team.
- Try for bonus points by registering for the official Horsemanship Quiz Challenge and completing the Level One and Level Two quizzes.

The mission of the USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge is to educate and recognize equestrians who have exceptional horsemanship knowledge. The goal of this program is to ignite each equestrian's passion for advancing their horsemanship knowledge and make it an integral part of their equestrian life.
To continue on with the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge, take the Levels One and Two Quizzes – individuals scoring 90% or higher on the Level Two Quiz will be eligible for selection to HQC Nationals or Adult HQC Nationals!

- All IHSA Collegiate members (both hunt seat and western) are eligible to participate.
