Instuctor Credential Continuing Education
The USHJA Instructor Credential values a commitment to personal and professional development and a dedication to continuing education. USHJA encourages Instructors to continue growing their knowledge base in teaching, coaching, horsemanship, riding theory, stable management, small business and marketing, law and ethics, and many other aspects of the industry.
The Instructor Credential will require continuing education every three years to help Instructors grow in these areas. Renewal must be completed by November 30 of the renewal year.
Two renewal options:
- Complete a renewal module to include new, updated online content and quizzes ($75) or
- Submit a video teaching a current riding lesson for review/critque by an Examiner ($350)
All Credentialed Instructors will be required to maintain USHJA membership (above the Outreach level) and Safe Sport requirements annually.
