Effective December 1, 2023, ownership transfers and lease registrations must be completed with both USEF and USHJA prior to the start of the competition in order for points to count toward Hunter and/or Jumper National and Zone Horse of the Year awards or to qualify for other USEF and USHJA Programs or Championships.
For information on how to complete a transfer or lease with USHJA, please visit ushja.org/membership/horses. Horse transfers and leases can be submitted via your Member Portal at my.ushja.org/manage-horses.
For information on how to complete a transfer or lease with USEF, please see the USEF Ownership Transfer and Lease guide here.
Please reach out to the respective organization to correct the discrepancy and ensure the records between both organization match prior to your next competition. Questions about USEF records can be directed to horseservices@usef.org. Questions about USHJA records can be directed to membership@ushja.org.
To ensure you are getting credit for the points you earn at USEF-licensed Hunter Jumper shows, it is imperative that all riders, owners, trainers, and horses have their USEF and USHJA account ID's linked together. Below are the instructions to check your account and link it, if necessary.
