Lexington, Ky.—Aug. 6, 2020—The USHJA is pleased to announce the relocation of the 2020 USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic - East, presented by Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College, to the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, presented by Captive One Advisors, in Williamsburg, Michigan. The event will now be held Tuesday, August 25, alongside the Adequan/USEF Junior Hunter National Championship - East Coast.
This is the second location and date change for the East Coast iteration of the Classic, originally slated to be held at Brandywine Horse Shows and moved to the Kentucky Horse Park before finally settling at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The East Coast event remains open to any Junior rider that has won either a USEF Hunter Seat Medal, ASPCA Maclay, USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, either phase of a WIHS Equitation Classic at a National or Premier competition, or Overall WIHS Equitation Classic at a competition with a start date between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020.
