Nomination Period Open for Five USHJA Board of Directors Seats

Lexington, Ky.—May 15, 2024—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce the opening of the member nomination period for five USHJA Board of Directors Seats. In this election, the Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for the positions of four At-Large Director seats, including one individual meeting the criteria for the Amateur seat and one individual meeting the criteria for the Competition Manager seat, as well as the Officer position of National Vice President. The nomination period closes August 15 at 5 p.m. ET.

Elections to the USHJA Board of Directors are voted on by Board members based on input from USHJA membership through the nomination process. Members may nominate a single individual for multiple positions, and they may nominate themselves for any available position. After careful review of all nominees, the Nominating Committee will recommend two candidates for each open seat on the Board of Directors. The final slate of candidates, as prepared by the Nominating Committee, will be released in November, ahead of the election during the 2024 USHJA Annual Meeting in December.

Senior Active Competing or Senior Education/Non-Competing members in good standing are eligible to participate in the election process and can do so through their USHJA member account.
