USHJA Congratulates Texas Super Series Group on Reaching $1 Million Payout Mark

Lexington, Ky.—October 24, 2019—The USHJA congratulates the Texas Super Series Group, a green hunter incentive program and annual Bonus Award donor for the Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championships, on reaching the $1 million payout mark.

Currently executing the eighth year of their Texas Super Series Green Hunter Program (formerly Texas Pre-Green), Super Series Group partners Colleen McQuay, Patrick Rodes, Peter Pletcher and Pauline Cook are pleased to announce that their program will cross the $1 million payout mark at this year’s Championship event, scheduled for November 14 at Final Chase at Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas.

Established in 2012 with the intent to promote developing hunters and boost the Hunter industry in Texas and beyond, the original Texas Pre-Green program served as the pilot for the USHJA’s Pre-Green Incentive program, now titled the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Program. Since the inception of these programs, opportunities for Green Hunters have continued to expand, with the Texas Super Series now being available to show managers across the country and the USHJA adding Regional Championships in addition to their annual National Championship event.

With opportunities abounding, Hunter industry participants report marked growth in the Hunter ring throughout the country, with a documented increase in not only show participation, but also breeding, importing and sales. Texas Super Series partner Colleen McQuay reports, “We have been so humbled by the support for this program, and we are so pleased to literally feel the impact of these efforts in our industry. This program is responsible for a complete turn around in Texas Hunters, and we can’t believe the wave it has made across the country.”

McQuay went on to give credit to program supporters, saying, “We have so many sponsors, supporters, and participants to thank for this success, especially Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, who have been such great hosts to every Championship event since this inception, plus many of our regular-season Stake classes. GSEC has become the Texas Super Stakes hub!”

An impressive $191,000 is offered in total to Hunters at the three-show fall circuit at Great Southwest Equestrian Center. Among these opportunities are the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Central Regional Championships week one at the Harvest show, the USHJA Zone 7 Finals week two at the Autumn Classic, and the $27,500 Texas Super Series Championship and $7,500 3 Year-Old Freestyle Performance week three at Final Chase. Additionally, Final Chase will serve as the conclusion for seasonal money earnings for all USHJA Hunters and Texas Super Series enrollees.

The USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Central Regional Championships will be held Thursday, October 31, and will offer $15,000 in prize money for Green Hunters competing at 3', 3'3", 3'6" and 3'9" fence heights who are enrolled in the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Program. The Central Regional Championship is the final of five offered in 2019, in addition to the Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.

Attendees of the 2019 Texas Super Series Green Hunter Championship November 14 will enjoy ringside hosting in the main indoor, open to all. The Super Series Group invites all to attend their million dollar payout milestone event, but also announces that webcast will be available of the event via their website, superseriesgroup.com.

The Texas Super Series Group was established in 2012 for the purpose of promoting the Hunter Industry.
