The Nomination Period is Open for USHJA Zone Committee Member Elections

 

Lexington, Ky.—Jan. 11, 2020—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce that the nomination period for the USHJA Zone Committee member elections is open in each of the 12 USHJA Zones.

Senior Active or Senior Associate members in good standing are eligible to participate in the nomination and election process for USHJA Zone Committee members in their zone.

USHJA Zone Committees are each made up of a minimum of 15 members. Six representatives (three designated hunter and three designated jumper) elected by the Zone membership; four members appointed by Affiliate Member Organizations (with the largest number of members); and a minimum of five individuals are appointed by the USHJA President.

Nominations for Zone Committee members will close on March 1. To nominate someone, members can click here.

The USHJA Zone Nominating Committees will review and set the slate of candidates, and elections will open on May 15. Ballots and biographies of nominees will be posted to the USHJA Zone webpage and members will be able to review and vote for candidates. Elections will close July 1.

When the new committee members begin their terms, the USHJA Zone Council will be repopulated with the chair and vice chair of each of the zone committees.
