USHJA to Offer Complimentary Membership to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion-Focused Businesses and Organizations

Lexington, Ky.—March 27, 2023—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce two complimentary membership options for businesses and organizations supporting diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Entities that meet the requirements will have the opportunity to apply for a complimentary one-time annual USHJA Business Membership or USHJA Affiliate Membership.

"We are proud to welcome organizations that are dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the equestrian industry to our community of USHJA members," said USHJA Executive Director Kevin Price. "This complimentary membership opens doors for growth and will help to create a more inclusive sport for all riders and horse enthusiasts."

Businesses that identify as BIPOC-owned and/or supporting can apply for a complimentary one-time annual USHJA Business Membership. The Business membership is designed for businesses that want to strengthen working relationships with each other, build long-term relationships with the USHJA and its members, and allows business professionals to engage with the industry. Benefits include subscriptions to USHJA member communications, trade show booth discounts at USHJA-managed events, advertising discounts in USHJA publications, a listing in a business directory on the USHJA website, and the opportunity to offer USHJA member benefit discounts and one educational webinar per year.

A complimentary one-time annual USHJA Affiliate Membership will be offered to Hunter/Jumper non-profit organizations that have a diversity, equity and inclusion focus and/or services. USHJA Affiliate Organizations are local, state, regional and national organizations, clubs, associations and educational institutions that offer equine-related programs, and conduct equestrian competitions or programs. A USHJA Affiliate Membership allows that organization the opportunity to offer their members 50% off of a USHJA Education Membership, receive a free listing in the USHJA Directory of Clinics, receive discounts from USHJA sponsors, host USHJA Outreach Competitions and more.
