Zone Grant and Scholarship Applications Now Open for 2024

Lexington, Ky.—Feb. 21, 2024—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce that applications for Zone grants and scholarships to support members pursuing higher education, participation in the 2024 MZ Farms/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program, educational clinics in a given Zone, and more are now open. Each year, USHJA Zone Committees establish grants and scholarships to support the needs of members in their area.

This year, all 12 Zones will offer MZ Farms/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program grants to assist members with attending a Regional Training Session. USHJA Instructor Credential grants will also be offered in all 12 Zones to aid members with obtaining the credential. This grant will only be awarded as reimbursement for program fees to members who have completed the online coursework and attended a live session. College scholarships will be offered in a select number of Zones.

Members interested in their Zone's opportunities can find more information and applications by visiting ushja.org/zones, selecting their Zone, and selecting "Grants & Scholarships" within the drop-down menu. Grants and scholarships are available to all USHJA members above the Outreach level.

These Zone grants and scholarships are offered in addition to various national opportunities available through the USHJA, which include the $25,000 Hamel Family Scholarship for Further Education, Gochman Grant for USEF Pony Finals, Alvin Topping Governance Grant, JT Tallon Memorial Equitation Grant, Naomi Blumenthal Memorial Training Grant, and emergency assistance available through the Horseman’s Assistance Fund.
